This morning was colder compared to yesterday morning by around 20° – 25° degrees. We started the day with widespread 30s inland and low 40s near the coast.
Through the afternoon, temperatures will remain around 20° colder compared to yesterday afternoon. Then, Thursday will bring even colder temperatures with highs struggling to reach the mid 40s.
This Midweek cool down is due to colder air moving in on a WNW behind the cold front that crossed yesterday.
However, the winds will return back out of the south once the ridge of high pressure moves out into the Atlantic by Friday.
So, there will be a warming trend that will kick-off just in time for our weekend! Highs will climb back into the 60s for both weekend days. However, the weekend does bring our next chance for rain.
A cold front will move into our area Sunday, and it’ll bring a likely chance for scattered showers…with possibly some embedded thunderstorms. So, Saturday looks like the best day for outdoor activities vs. Sunday.
Behind that system, it dries out and it gets colder again. Highs will fall back into the 40s for both Monday and Tuesday.
Enjoy the day!
