It was a cold morning with widespread 30s, and wind chill values were in the 20s. Based on this morning, one would probably think it’s going to be another very cold day…. NOT TODAY. Hello Mild Weather!
The Mild weather is courtesy of a warm southwesterly wind that’ll dominate today as it wraps around a ridge of High pressure sitting over the SE. The High will be close enough to also keep our atmosphere stable; so, you can expect not only mild temps but also lots of sunshine!
Thankfully, this weekend will trend MUCH WARMER than last weekend based on this pattern. Although the official high was in the 60s last Saturday, that was right after midnight. Temps fell throughout the day behind a cold front which led to a much colder Saturday afternoon. So, this weekend will generally be much more comfy with temps averaging 20°-25° warmer compared to last weekend.
This warming trend will take place out ahead of another cold front that’ll move in Tuesday.
As the front moves in, it will bring us a chance for showers…mainly Tuesday morning through early afternoon. The front crosses by Midday, allowing for colder air to move in behind it.
The much colder air will settle in by Wednesday and Thursday….with highs falling back into the 40s and 50s. It looks like temps will begin to climb back up by next weekend.
