It seems like when the weekend rolls around, in comes the rain. The majority of Saturday will be dry with a mostly cloudy sky, but it is going to be on the cool side. Not the best day to head outdoors but with a heavier jacket it won’t be too bad! We’ll have high temperatures top off in the upper 40s. There could be a few isolated showers later in the day, so here’s the setup.
A low pressure system is marching across the county which is bringing severe weather to parts of the South. The good news for us, as it moves east, it loses momentum and won’t be as strong by the time it makes it to Hampton Roads. So there still is that chance for rain and an isolated thunderstorm but it won’t be severe.
The rain comes to an end in the afternoon on Sunday (just in time for the weekend to end, of course) but it doesn’t look like it will be completely widespread. I think we’ll see some scattered showers and then a few heavier bursts of rain before it moves out.
Along with the rain also comes much warmer air. Sundays high temperatures will be in the low 70s! With the warmth also comes windy conditions. We could see wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour! So although it might be well above average, it might not feel like it with the wind. We could start to see some sunshine into the afternoon, but I don’t think it’ll be much.
But we do start to clear out for the week ahead! It will be very seasonable with highs in the mid 60s for Monday and then low to mid 50s through the middle of the week. Not too bad!
