High temperatures made it to the mid 70s across Hampton Roads today, after the 0.25″ to 0.5″ of rain we had early in the morning, it was nice to dry out. Today was the warmest day since February 9th when we had a high of 79 degrees. We could see a few thunderstorms tonight across the Outer Banks. Our partner’s at Surfline.com have a great camera to watch the storms move through the area.
Also, wow! It was a windy day!
Those wind speeds will decrease tonight, likely be around 5 mph by tomorrow morning.
Our weather pattern does look a little cooler for the week ahead. On Monday, highs will be in the 60s, then Tuesday and Wednesday, we will see highs back in the mid to low 50s. No rain is expected for much of the week ahead. With that area of high pressure settled over us, we will see sunshine Monday through Thursday this upcoming week. Highs will jump back to the 60s and 70s later this week. Enjoy your week!
