We had some wet weather over parts of the area this morning. There was a long line of showers that stretched from southwest to northeast. It was slowly moving east.
We’ll have one round of showers this morning. Then we’ll have a nice break around midday. Some more scattered showers will return this afternoon. There may be a few isolated thunderstorms in the region as well.
This is all due to an area of low pressure that is riding through the area.
The low will slowly move away from us today. There are a couple of fronts attached to the low, but they won’t really have much effect on the temps. Highs will be in the mid 70s. Winds will be light and out of the southwest. The sun will peek out at times, but overall we’ll have lots of clouds.
By tonight the showers will taper off. There may be a few showers if you are waiting in line for the new Avengers movie this evening. So keep that in mind. Then we’ll dry out later tonight. Lows will be in the 50s.
Tomorrow we’ll have partly cloudy skies as high pressure swoops in. Highs will be in the upper 70s. It will be nice out. A cold front will move in late Saturday night into Sunday morning. This may pop off a few isolated showers (20%). Otherwise the day will be dry. It will be cooler with highs in the low-mid 60s. We’ll be cool and dry on Monday. Then…We’ll warm up to the low 80s from Wednesday onward. It looks like this will be a longer stretch of warm weather. Not just here….but over a large portion of the country. We’ll have updates on that over the weekend.
