If you’re wondering about the title of this blog, this dismal pattern isn’t ending….I’m just OVER IT! “Chance of showers and storms..chance of showers and storms..hot and muggy..chance of showers and storms….” Over it, officially.
Unfortunately, I will sound like a broken record again this week.
Thanks to a stubborn upper-level low, we will be tracking showers and storms through the early part of the night. Some heavy downpours could lead to localized flooding, which has been the primary threat for a while. In addition to heavy rain, I wouldn’t rule out some gusty winds in excess of 30-40 MPH.
There could be a lingering shower or two early Monday morning, but we’ll see more sunshine through the latter half of the morning into the middle of the day. Once again, there will be another chance of pop-up showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening hours.
By Tuesday, there will only be a slight chance of pop-up thundershowers. That means most of us will stay dry while a lucky few will be tagged with some raindrops.
Wednesday and Thursday will be our only perfectly dry days this week, but, (cue the griping) it will be hot and humid. Highs will be in the low to mid-90s, which will put the heat index at or a few degrees above 100°. So even when it’s not damp from the rain, it’s damp from the humidity..
