I’m not sure whether the sniffles in the newsroom lately are from actual colds (some have had them lately) or if it’s from people faking it to get out of work.  It will be tempting for folks to get out of work and head outdoors over the next few days.  Ahem…Though I don’t recommend it.  We have some nice Spring weather ahead.  Temps will be up and down a bit, but they will be seasonable.  The humidity will also be seasonable.  It won’t be anything like the thick tropical mugginess that we felt last week.

Today we started off with a mix of sun and clouds.  We quickly transitioned to mostly sunny skies by the mid morning.  There was a wind-shift line that came through early.  We had a few clouds along it, but the only rain showers were offshore.

Otherwise high pressure was building in from the west.  We’ll have nice conditions today with fair skies and highs in the 80s.  The humidity won’t be too bad.  Dew points are in the 50s and low 60s.  We’ll have a light westerly breeze.  It will be warm in the sun and mild in the shade.

By tonight a cold front will drop down into our area.  It will kick off some scattered showers.  However, the chance for rain is only about 40%.  The front will drop south through the morning.  There might be a lingering shower in the morning, but we’ll be pretty dry through the day.  High temps will get knocked down to the mid 70s.  The dew points will fall back into the 50s.  It will feel great outside.  Then we’ll be dry and mild on Thursday with highs near 80.  We’ll warm to the mid 80s on Friday with partly cloudy skies.  The humidity will increase a bit by Saturday.  High temps will rise to the upper 80s.  So it will be a little muggy.  There may be some spotty showers in the area.  The humidity will be even higher on Sunday.  We’ll have scattered rain showers ahead of another cold front.  I’ll be down at Harbor Fest on Sunday.  So I will be watching the forecast carefully for the weekend.  Stay tuned for updates!
