After a chilly few days, the warmth returns but we will be on a roller coaster ride again for the next week! Saturday will be mild with showers in the afternoon and evening, we’re not talking about a washout though, just light showers throughout the evening.

This is associated with a warm front that’s going to bring us near record breaking warmth for Sunday. I expect highs to be in the mid 70s and 71 degrees is the record set back in 1998! So we have a good shot at breaking the record.

The work week ahead will start mild, upper 60s Monday but a cold front will sweep through that will drop us into the upper 40s and low 50s. Brr! Enjoy the warmth while it lasts! If you’re heading out tonight for the Holiday Parade at the Oceanfront or 25 Nights of Northern City Lights, bring an umbrella and a light jacket.

Have a great weekend! -Meteorologist Casey Lehecka
