A rather mild end to the weekend – we were about 10° to 17° warmer than Saturday. Good news – the above average temperatures will continue into the start of the week. (Okay, good news for some..my apologies to the snow lovers..)
We topped out at 70° at Norfolk International today – just 1 degree shy of tying the record high! We definitely won’t come close to the record tomorrow – I’m forecasting a high of 68° and the record is 80°.
We’ll be tracking high, thin clouds tomorrow with highs in the upper-60s..some places could reach into the low-70s. A cold front will come through Monday evening. It’ll be a silent passage in the sense it won’t bring us any more clouds or showers – it’ll simply shift our wind direction and drag in some much cooler air.
Behind that front, temperatures will be about 20 degrees cooler on Tuesday. The mercury will hover in the mid to upper-40s for the rest of the week. It would be nice to maybe get some seasonable temperatures over here. Maybe I’m asking too much?
Overall, call it a cool, but quiet week in the weather department. No rain is expected until next Sunday.
