Sick of the rain yet? I think many are. Well, we have a couple more days of rain before we start to dry out for the weekend. So hang in there.
This morning we had a wide area of rain over the region (as expected). It was light, but it did slow things down during the morning commute.
A stationary front was to our south while a weak area of low pressure was moving slowly offshore. As the low moves farther away today it should push the front a little more to the south this afternoon. This should allow the rain showers to taper off by the early afternoon as well. Then we’ll dry out between the late afternoon into the evening. High temps will be in the mid 50s.
We’ll be in between systems tonight into early tomorrow. So we’ll have some clouds but no rain. Then an area of low pressure will move in from the west by tomorrow afternoon. Rain showers will move in during the afternoon into the evening.
High temps will be in the 50s again tomorrow. Rain will be widespread from Friday evening into early Saturday morning. However, at this time it looks like a lot of the rain will already move out by the mid-morning hours. Maybe even by sunrise.
This would mean that the rest of the weekend would be dry. The models are showing pretty dry and mild weather from Saturday afternoon through Monday. High temps will likely be in the 60s. No record heat, but way above the average of 49 degrees. We’ll probably stay warm for a little while, but I have a feeling that colder air will arrive by later this month. Maybe much colder air! Stay tuned for updates.
