Today’s weather pattern looks good for Hampton Roads as High Pressure will ridge in from the NE. Expect lots of sunshine for most areas, but the OBX may experience some spotty showers due to a stalled front hovering just offshore of the NC coast.
Highs today will be close to average.
However, highs will gradually increase as we journey into early next week due to a southerly wind taking over (along with an upper level ridge of High pressure moving over our area). Highs will stay in the low 90s through Midweek with heat indices next week near 100° (so enjoy the cooler weekend temps).
Rain relief from the heat will be hard to find through early next week (the previously mentioned upper high will help hinder higher rain chances). However, by Thursday, a cold front will cross our area and bring a chance for scattered showers/storms. Behind the front, temps will return closer to average…back into the Low-Mid 80s by Friday.
