VB Schools superintendent asks everyone to wear blue Monday in honor of shooting victims

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach City Public Schools Superintendent Aaron Spence is asking everyone to wear blue on Monday in honor of the shooting victims.

Spence posted a picture to his Twitter to make the announcement. An email and voice message was sent out to school faculty, staff and parents of students asking them to wear blue as well.

Other area schools have also encouraged citizens to wear blue on Monday, including Chesapeake, Hampton, Norfolk, Isle of Wight County and Gloucester County Public Schools.
