Bill creating VB Strong license plate passes in General Assembly

RICHMOND, Va. (WAVY) — A bill authorizing a special Virginia license plate with “VB Strong” unanimously passed in the Virginia General Assembly.

The bill was introduced by Virginia State Senator Bill DeSteph to honor the victims and families of the May 31 mass shooting in Virginia Beach.

450 people must apply and pay $10 to the DMV by November before the plates become available.
