PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Chesapeake resident Jim Todd has had an extraordinary life that has taken him around the world many times. Todd first toured the world as a young engineer with the Merchant Marines. He later joined the Navy where he fixed and built ships.
After leaving the Navy, Todd founded his own company and as a way to give back to local artists, he and his wife Darlene opened Gallery 21 in Norfolk.
A few years ago, Todd decided to try something new and that’s the ancient art form of Sumi-e.
