New report details Navy SEAL training troubles
The training program for Navy SEALs is plagued by widespread failures in medical care, poor oversight and the use of performance-enhancing drugs that have increased the risk of injury and death to those seeking to become elite commandos, according to an investigation triggered by the death of a sailor last year. Former Navy SEAL and Congressman Scott Taylor said it is a dangerous job and training, but safety is paramount. Rep. Jen Kiggans said "wholly inadequate" cannot be the standard by which we care for people who serve their country, and applauded the Navy for taking the matter seriously.
