Blog: Halloween Forecast, And The Heat Arrives!

Video

After about two solid weeks of cooler temperatures, we are going to warm up for a couple of days.  Just in time for Halloween. Today high pressure is sliding offshore. We started the day with a light southwest wind and clear skies.

Today the breeze will pick up out of the south/southwest. This will pull in some heat that hat been building to our west. So this afternoon will be great. High temps will be in the low 70s with mostly sunny skies. It will be dry and comfortable.

For this evening we’ll have some excellent weather for the trick-or-treaters. Skies will be mostly clear.  There will be a light breeze. Temps will be in the 60s.

Trick-Or-Treat Forecast

Have fun but be safe!

Tomorrow we’ll heat up even more. Temps will start in the 50s in the morning. We’ll rise to the upper 70s during the afternoon. There will probably even be a couple of 80s inland/south. We’ll be dry through Thursday afternoon. However, the humidity will build Thursday night into Friday. Clouds will increase.

The cold front will very slowly move towards us on Friday, but we’ll be on the warm side of the front.  We’ll have scattered showers on-and-off through the day. There may be a long break for a while when the sun pops out.  We will heat up to near 80 degrees. The heat and humidity might create a few thunderstorms during the late afternoon and/or the evening. Rain will increase Friday night into Saturday morning. That’s when the cold front will move in.

There may be a few storms overnight as the front sweeps in. A few showers may linger into Saturday morning, but then we’ll dry out in the afternoon.  Highs will be in the upper 60s to low 70s. We’ll be even cooler on Sunday with highs closer to 60 degrees. Sunday looks dry, but rain will move back in on Monday.

Getting ready to say good bye to hurricane Oscar. It is already northeast of Bermuda. It is moving north/northeast. It will become non-tropical in the next 12-24 hours.
