It is a very cold morning across the region, but a gradual warm up is on the way. The clear sky that we had last night and NE winds allowed for overnight temps to drop into the upper 20s and low 30s. Brr! But with high pressure in place, that means we’ll have a lot of sunshine over the next couple of days. Unfortunately, that won’t help us to warm up very much this afternoon. We’ll top off in the lower 50s.
The wind will be switching to come in from the south and with high pressure staying in place, that means a nice couple of days ahead! We are climbing on up! Thursday we’ll be in the 60s, then 70s for Friday and Saturday! Make sure you have some outdoor plans.
The one problem we’re still going to be dealing with is some higher winds right along the water. Especially in parts of NE NC, there will be high surf and dangerous conditions (if you’re brave enough to go in 50 degree water!) But the wind will start to die down later today.
Overall it’s a very quiet weather pattern ahead, and we won’t have to worry about rain until Sunday!
