Rising Pre-K – Rising Kindergarteners

Summer camp is more than just a place where children come to play when school is out. Each day is packed with fun and engaging activities that include instructional and recreational swimming, arts and crafts, gym games, and much more. Campers will also enjoy dress up days, performances, and special events with old and new friends alike.

Rising 1st – 6th graders

Summer camp is more than just fun and games. Our dynamic program allows every child to explore their own interests, try new things, and build their self-confidence within a safe camp atmosphere. Campers will participate in a variety of activities with new and old friends such as sports, swimming, music, art, fishing, dance, and special electives to choose from. Weekly themes, dress-up days, performances, and special events are also a part of the summer fun.

Rising 7th and 8th and 9th Graders

Teen Camp is about having fun and giving back. Campers will participate in exciting off-campus activities such as paddle boarding, kayaking, and more. Teen campers also have the opportunity to plan their own special projects and give back to the community through various volunteer activities. The combination of recreational activities and community service projects contribute to a memorable and meaningful summer camp.

Extend Your Adventure at Last Blast!

August 15-26

Rising Kindergarteners – 5th Grade

The adventure continues with an extra two weeks of fun! Last Blast runs Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 6:00 pm in The Zone at the JCC. Campers should bring lunch, sunscreen, a bathing suit, and a towel. Campers are provided a daily snack.

(Rising 9th and 10th Graders)

Our Counselor-in-Training program allows teens to gain leadership skills and experience working with children, while enjoying the traditional camp experience. CITs will receive training that emphasizes life skills such as teamwork, conflict resolution, and self-confidence. CITs will implement special camp activities throughout the summer, preparing them for future roles at camp, school or in the community. This is a junior leadership position that requires an interview and offers a modest stipend. For more information, contact Taffy Hunter at 757-965-6117. Limited space available.

Camp JCC strives to provide every child with the opportunity to enjoy our summer camp programs. The Yachad program consists of specially trained camp staff who are able to provide campers with accommodations and supports for a variety of physical, emotional, intellectual, and developmental needs. For more information and to help determine if our summer camp is the right fit for your child, please call Michelle Fenley, LCSW, at 757-459-4640. If interested, a one-on-one meeting will be scheduled to allow us to learn more about your child’s strengths while exploring accommodations and supports that may benefit them during the camp day. Availability in the program is limited.
