This is knot your typical summer camp! From pirate days to parent days to going on sailing adventures, this camp is perfect for your new sailor. Our camps are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Cost is $275. Registration is all online and live!
We partnered with our nonprofit organization, Coastal Shores Inc., to offer youth Sumer sailing camp in Hampton Roads. Our camp is open to the public and is for ages 5 to 13. No matter if child has never seen a boat before or has spent some time on the water, this is a summer camp that your child can learn and have fun to promote lifelong sailing skills. We even have kayaks available for you and your sailor to enjoy after camp.
River Guppies
Kids are never too young to start sailing, especially at our summer camp! River Guppies are for 5 to 7 year old’s and is an introductory class for soon-to-be sailors. The primary focus is fun while gaining confidence on the water. Sailors will be sailing on our Optimists. You may sign up for just one week or multiple weeks.
River Otters
River Otters are for 8 to 13 year old’s and is an entry beginner class that introduces sailors to the basics of sailing. This summer camp class teaches sailors the basic rigging fundamentals, seamanship, water safety, and confidence in sailing all points of sail. Sailors will be sailing on our Optimists. On days of no wind, we will go kayaking!
