Robinson buzzer-beater highlights Portsmouth Invitational Tournament's opening night

PORTSMOUTH (WAVY) - If the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament is considered somewhat of a job interview, then Justin Robinson made a pretty good first-impression in Thursday's first-round game at Churchland High School.

Playing in front of NBA scouts and executives from 29 different teams, as well as international scouts, Robinson showed why he was the Hokies' go-to senior this past year, hitting the game-winning three-point basket at the buzzer to give Sales Systems, Ltd. a 91-89 win over K&D Rounds Landscape Service.

"To come down to the last shot, and to be able to hit it for the game is something I couldn't have asked better for," said Robinson, who finished the night with six points. "My teammates found me in the right spot, the type of team we have is very unselfish, and everybody plays for one-another.

"So, I'm glad to be on that team."

Robinson also showed what made him the Hokies' all-time assists leader, dishing out 10 for the game.

The PIT, now in its 67th year, invites 64 of the best seniors from all over the country.
