CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — At times, it seemed like the game would never end.

Eventually, three hours and 15 minutes after first pitch, Brandon Ginnetti delivered the game-winning RBI that gave Ocean Lakes a 6-5 win over Kellam, and sent the Dolphins to the Class 6 state tournament.

“Indescribable,” Ginnetti said after the win. “(It’s) just a dream. Really no words.”

With the bases loaded, Ginnetti sent a grounder to first base. His teammate Scott Hinds tagged from third base, and managed to beat the throw home.

The Dolphins will face Cox for the Region 6A championship on Thursday.
