HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A Yorktown man died after a work-related accident in Hampton on Wednesday.
According to the Hampton Police Division, the accident happened just before 10:40 a.m. in the 2500 block of McMenamin Street.
Officers found the 60-year-old at the scene suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
The incident doesn’t appear to be criminal in nature, according to a preliminary investigation from Hampton police. The State Department of Labor is set to conduct a follow-up investigation into the man’s death.
