York-Poquoson deputies help 10-year-old track down stolen bike

James and a York-Poquoson deputy

YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — York-Poquoson deputies came to the aid of a concerned citizen on Monday.

10-year-old James called them and said someone took his bike right out of his front yard.

Deputies gave him a hand, and they patrolled his neighborhood and a few nearby neighborhoods, too.

They found James’s bike a little over a mile from his home on the side of the road.

Deputies say they were happy to help return the bike to James, and he was even happier to get his wheels back.
