YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — The York County Poquoson Circuit Court building will remain closed the rest of the day due to a power outage, officials say.
The York-Poquson Sheriffs’ Office announced the closure in a tweet. In a news release, the sheriff’s there were reports around 7 a.m. Friday of power outages and trees that had fallen on power lines due to storms.
Dominion Energy’s outage map showed a few small outages across York County late Friday morning, but none that were in the general vicinity of the courthouse.
The sheriff’s office said Dominion crews are working to restore power in Yorktown by 3 p.m.
