VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A woman convicted of charges in a DUI crash that left three people injured in Virginia Beach is facing a six-year prison sentence.
Ellaine Durham was arrested on several charges last July after police said she drove an ice cream truck drunk in the Sandbridge area of the city.
Police said Durham was driving the truck when she hit another car. Three people were injured.
Court records show Durham was found guilty of driving under the influence, hit and run and contempt of court on Dec. 11, 2018. A failure to appear charge against Durham was nolle prossed, or withdrawn.
Durham was sentenced this week to six years in prison.
