WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — A woman is facing a felony charge for a crash in a grocery store parking lot that injured two people in Williamsburg.

Williamsburg police say the crash happened March 10 at a Food Lion on Richmond Road.

Police say 38-year-old Julia R. Geuther, of James City County, was backing out of a parking space and hit another vehicle.

Two people inside the vehicle were taken to Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News. Police say officers responded to the scene around 4:15 p.m.

Geuther allegedly drove away from the scene after the crash, but police say someone recorded her license plate number.

Officers identified Geuther as the suspect and obtained warrants on March 14 charging her with failing to stop in the event of a crash resulting in injury or death.

A booking photo for Geuther was not available.
