Williamsburg man sentenced to 45 years for role in Newport News murder

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) —   A man will serve 45 years for his role in a 2009 murder. 

Mark Wallace, 37, of Williamsburg, is one of three men convicted in the death of Louis Joseph Jr. of Newport News. 

Court documents show Joseph was beaten and shot in his Denbigh home.

Co-defendants James Benson of Boston and Bryan Brown of Newport News received life in prison, and 45 years in prison, respectively, last month.
