Williamsburg man gets 45 years in 2009 Newport News murder

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A Williamsburg man will spend the next 45 years behind bars for his role in a 2009 murder.

Prosecutors said 37-year-old Mark Wallace is one of the three men convicted for the death of Louis Joseph Jr., of Newport News.

Court documents say the trio beat and shot Joseph in his Denbigh home. Co-defendant James Benson, of Boston, is serving a life sentence for the crime. 

Bryan Brown, of Newport News, is also serving 45 years in connection to Joseph’s murder.
