Williamsburg firefighters respond to kitchen fire

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) – Firefighters from the Williamsburg Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire early Saturday. 

Officials say they were called to Basset Hall at 9:55 a.m. and upon arrival saw smoke coming from the eaves of a duplex. The fire was coming from the kitchen and was quickly extinguished. 

No one was home at the time of the fire but four adults and one child have been temporary displaced. 

There were no reported injuries. 

Crews from James City County Fire Department and York County Fire and Life and Safety also responded to the fire.
