Wanchese man had crack, .22 revolver during traffic stop, deputies say

TYRRELL COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — A Wanchese man was arrested over the weekend after Tyrrell deputies say they found crack cocaine and a handgun during a traffic stop. 

Maynard W. Hazen, 67, was stopped Saturday night around 9 p.m. for a traffic violation on U.S. 64 east of Columbia, deputies say. 

During a search of the vehicle, a deputy found 0.9 grams of crack and a .22 caliber revolver. Hazen was then arrested for felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance with the intent to sell and deliver and carrying a concealed weapon.
