RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Governor Northam ordered that Virginia flags be flown at half-staff Wednesday in observance of Peace Officers Memorial Day.
Flags are to be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset at all public buildings, grounds and facilities in Virginia.

President Donald Trump announced in a statement, that all flags at all government buildings across the country and overseas territories will be flown at half-staff.
The president encourages all Americans to display the flag from their homes and businesses.
