BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) — Virginia Tech has suspended guard Chris Clarke indefinitely.
The school made the announcement in a one-sentence release on Wednesday. It gave no information as to why Clarke was suspended.
The 6-foot-6, 210-pound senior, who went to Cape Henry Collegiate in Virginia Beach, is the most versatile player on the 15th-ranked Hokies and has averaged 9.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists during his career.
He has been removed from the Hokies’ online roster, which the school says is standard procedure amid an indefinite suspension.
Virginia Tech was picked to finish fifth in the Atlantic Coast Conference in a vote by media members.
