Virginia Beach Police investigating armed robbery at Verizon store

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — An unknown person went into a Verizon Wireless store on Virginia Beach Boulevard Sunday afternoon and robbed it of merchandise.

Emergency dispatchers received a call regarding the armed robbery around 3:40 p.m., according to Virginia Beach Police. 

The suspect reportedly went into the store, demanded the merchandise and fled on foot. Police say there weren’t any customers in the store at the time of the robbery. 

There were no injuries reported.
