NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Newly released surveillance video of a robbery at a BayPort Credit Union in Newport News shows a suspect police believe is connected to another recent robbery.
The BayPort robbery happened at the location on Marshall Avenue.
Newport News police said the suspect walked in just before 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, and told the teller to put money into two grocery bags.
He then left and walked toward 81st Street.
Investigators believe it’s the same suspect that hit a Wells Fargo on Warwick Boulevard on Oct. 18. The suspect in that robbery took off with the cash, and was spotted getting in to a dark four-door Jeep Liberty.
