RICHMOND, Va. (WAVY) – At a press conference Monday morning, Governor Ralph Northam had a chance to show off his medical background.
Video from the event shows a Chesterfield officer standing behind him at the conference suddenly go limp for unknown reason. Several other officers carried him to the side and placed him gently on the ground. He is expected to be okay. Governor Northam comforted the officer until medical staff arrived.
The conference was held to to acknowledge the 17th Annual Checkpoint Strikeforce DUI Enforcement and Outreach Campaign to Combat Drunk Driving.
