Vice President Pence visits Coast Guard Base Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Vice President Mike Pence visited U.S. Coast Guard Base Portsmouth  on Wednesday, where he was briefed on efforts to address border security threats, and pushed for the Trump administration’s effort to build more of a border wall at the U.S.-Mexico border. 

Air Force Two landed at Norfolk International Airport around 11:30 a.m., where Pence will start his day. 

Pence also toured the Coast Guard cutter Bear.
