GLOUCESTER, Va. (WAVY) —  Indian Road (Route 605) in Gloucester County reopened Wednesday between Fary’s Mill Road and Mohican Drive after a sinkhole appeared in late July.

VDOT had to repair drainage pipes damaged by heavy rains, which were also responsible for parts of the road being destroyed.

To prevent further damage and future mishaps, they placed new end walls and two new concrete pipes.
