VB police searching for suspect in attempted gas station robbery

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Detectives are searching for a suspect following an attempted robbery at a Virginia Beach gas station Monday night.

The robbery occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. at a Citgo on 1405 N. Great Neck Road, across from the Great Neck Village Shopping Center. 

According to Virginia Beach police, a hooded and masked suspect entered the Citgo and demanded the clerk give him all the money. The clerk refused, and the suspect fled the store on foot.

Police said no injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a six foot tall man with a medium to large build. Surveillance camera images of the suspect were released on Thursday.
