Vacant home in Norfolk damaged by fire

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Crews in Norfolk battled a fire Saturday night in a vacant home that was under construction. 

Battalion Chief Harry Worley said that the fire occurred in the 3000 block of Ballentine Boulevard. The fire appeared to have started outside on the back porch and extended into the home. 

The fire was marked under control at 8:20 p.m. and no injuries have been reported.
