PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia Beach resident who saved two local Farm Fresh stores earlier this year is now looking to revive a third.

Chris Lee tells 10 On Your Side he purchased the former Farm Fresh location on Victory Boulevard from SUPERVALU, Inc. The location closed its doors back in May.

Lee previously acquired Farm Fresh locations at the Chimney Hill Shopping Center in Virginia Beach and  at 353 Chatman Drive in Newport News.

Several Farm Fresh stores in the region were bought by Kroger and Food Lion in March.

Lee said he is planning to reopen the store Nov. 2, but added that could be pushed back if everything doesn’t come together in time. He did confirm that the store will, in fact, have that popular fried chicken.
