VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia Beach house undergoing renovations from a January blaze was again damaged in a fire Friday morning, officials say.
Firefighters were called to the scene on Goolagong Drive, in the Level Green section of the city, around 7:20 a.m. after neighbors called dispatch.
Officials with the Virginia Beach Fire Department said responding units reported finding heavy smoke and flames “shooting through the upstairs windows” and roof.
The fire was marked under control just before 7:50 a.m., but officials said the entire second floor of the house was heavily damaged and badly burned.
