VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Monday evening fire has left five family members and three dogs displaced for the holidays.
The family townhome in the 1500 block of Hill Meadow Court caught fire around 4:50 p.m. The first engine arrived around 4:55 p.m., fire officials say, and had the fire under control not long after.
Residents were home at the time of the fire, but no one was injured. Firefighters had to re-enter the home in order to retrieve the dogs, who are expected to be OK. .
