NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The USS Dwight D. Eisenhower has left Naval Station Norfolk to do its flight deck certification.
The ship left naval station norfolk on Monday, about a week after it had completed its sea trial.
It will be the first time the Eisenhower has conducted flight operations since 2017. The Eisenhower returned to sea this year for the first time since August 2017.
After finish its flight deck certification, the ship will continue training at sea to prepare for a future deployment.
