Two shot Tuesday in Elizabeth City; Suspect arrested

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WAVY) — Two people were taken to the hospital after being shot Tuesday in Elizabeth City.

Elizabeth City police say they found the two gunshot victims when they responded to the 700 block of Herrington Road around 4:21 p.m. for a shots fired call.

The victims were transported to Sentara Albermarle Hospital to be treated for their injuries. Both were listed in stable condition.

Police said they arrested 32-year-old Domnique Ferebee, and charged him with attempted first-degree murder and and possession of firearm by felon.

Ferebee is being held at Albemarle District Jail without bond.
