SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Two people were seriously injured after a motorcycle accident on Route 58 Sunday afternoon.
Emergency communication received the call at 1:37 p.m. for an accident on Route 58 by the Downtown Suffolk exit.
Police learned on scene that the motorcycle left the roadway and crashed into a guardrail.
The adult male driver was airlifted by Nightingale and the female passenger was ground transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Both have serious injuries.
The Downtown exit ramp on Route 58 was briefly closed but has since reopened.
