HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia State Police are investigating a possible shooting on Interstate 64 in Hampton after a man says he was grazed with a bullet while driving early Saturday morning.
State Police say the alleged shooting happened when the driver and his five passengers were merging into the westbound lanes from Armistead Avenue.
The driver told troopers he heard gunshots and glass shattering. He then he realized he had a graze wound on his leg, according to State Police. The passengers were not injured.
The driver stated he did not see any other vehicles nearby when he heard the possible gunshots, troopers say.
This is an ongoing investigation.
