NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Firefighters responded to a building in Norfolk Wednesday afternoon after two gas bottles caught fire, officials say.
Norfolk Fire-Rescue said in a tweet that two acetylene gas bottles caught fire on Front Street, near the Bea Arthur Dog Park. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene around 12:45 p.m.
Officials said there was no damage to the building, aside from some scorching. A photo fire-rescue posted to Twitter showed firefighters working to cool one of the bottles.
Officials said the bottles will need to vent for a while.
It was not immediately clear what caused the bottles to catch fire.
