PARKSLEY, Va. (WAVY) — A truck hauling bushels of blue crabs overturned in the town of Parksley on Saturday.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. on Hopeton Road, according to the Parksley Volunteer Fire Company.
The driver of the six-wheeler needed to be extricated by first responders on the scene. Officials say the driver was injured, but was released by medics on the scene.
Based on the investigation, officials say the accident was caused by the driver overcorrecting. The driver was wearing his seat belt.
It took crews a couple hours to clean the crabs off the road before reopening it, officials say.
