CHESAPEAKE (WAVY) – In June, Cam’Ron Kelly shocked the college football world, when he announced his commitment to play at Virginia Tech. A little over a month later, Kelly has left Hokie Nation stunned, announcing he has de-committed from Tech.
Kelly, rated a four-star prospect out of Oscar Smith High School, was the top-ranked recruit in coach Justin Fuente’s 2019 signing class. In his announcement on social media, Kelly says he felt he “rushed into things” when he made his initial commitment, and will be re-opening his recruitment.
Here is the full announcment, which he made on Saturday night.
