HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) – It’s the holiday season in Hampton Roads. Take a look at the list below to find places to donate food or toys.

Host Sarah Goode spoke with the President and CEO, Christopher Tan, about ways to support the foodbank, including participating in the variety of upcoming food drives and events in the Hampton Roads area. They also spoke about how to receive support from the foodbank.

Downtown Norfolk Food & Fund Drive
Where: 40 businesses in downtown Norfolk
When: Saturday, Nov. 19 through Saturday, Dec. 10
What: More than 40 downtown Norfolk businesses will hold a food drive to benefit the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.
How to give: Drop off non-perishable goods at participating locations. Donations can also be given online.
Williamsburg’s Seventh Annual Toy Drive
When/Where:
- Friday, Nov. 25, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Marshalls, 1252 Richmond Rd
- Saturday, Nov. 26, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Walgreens, 1309 Richmond Rd
- Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Marshalls, 1252 Richmond Rd
- Sunday, Dec. 4, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Walgreens, 1309 Richmond Rd
- Throughout the holiday season at the Williamsburg Police Station, 425 Armistead Ave
What: Williamsburg Police Department and Williamsburg Human Services toy donation event for families in the community.
How to give: Donate toys at the locations listed on specific dates this holiday season or any time at the Williamsburg Police Station. You can also give a monetary donation for older kids. Call the Human Services Department at 757-220-6161 if you know of families in need that would benefit from the toy drive.
“Stuff the Truck” Toy Drive
Where: Yard District, by Coastal Fermentory at 206 23rd Street, Ste B, Newport News
When: Saturday, December 10 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
What: Hosted by the Newport News Fire Department and Provost Construction. They say to wear your flannel and bring a toy to donate. Santa will come by fire truck at 12:30 p.m. There will be a variety of family-friendly activities to enjoy.
How to give: Bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate.
6th Annual Toy Drive
Where/ When:
- Sunday, December 18 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Phoebus High School, 100 Ireland St, Hampton, VA
- All season long at North Phoebus Community Center, 249 W Chamberlin Ave, Hampton, VA
What: 249 Ninja hosts the 6th Annual Toy Drive. Bring a new, unwrapped gift or monetary donation to give to the event.
How to give: Bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate at the specified dates and times. Monetary donations are also welcomed via CASHAPP. Take a look at the link for more information.
Salt Church and Dave’s BBQ Toy Drive Event
Where: Dave’s BBQ, 1781 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA
When: Every Monday in December at Dave’s BBQ.
What: Bring a new, unwrapped toy to Dave BBQ in Virginia Beach and in return receive a pulled pork sandwich. Limited to one sandwich per person.
How to give: Donate a new, unwrapped toy at the location. All toy donations will be donated to a local shelter before Christmas.
